Tandem Sky Diving
Tandem Sky Diving is the most popular first-jump skydiving method today. Pioneered in the early 1980's and perfected in the mid 1990's, it revolutionized the sport by allowing almost anyone the opportunity to leap from an airplane.
Because you are securely harnessed to a licensed instructor for the entire jump, a tandem requires only basic pre-jump training, and is possible for adults of nearly any age or fitness level.*
When you arrive for your tandem sky diving appointment, you will first sit through a brief 20-minute instructional video before meeting your personal instructor. He/She will then assist you with your jumpsuit and skydiving harness, as well as answer any last-minute questions you may have.
Once you are prepared for your tandem skydive, you will board one of our powerful twin-turbine aircraft and ascend to 13,500 feet (4200 meters). Your instructor will attach your harness to the tandem parachute system they are wearing and do a thorough pre-jump check as you approach jump altitude.
When the pilot switches on the green light and the door opens, you and your instuctor will move towards the door together. If you're lucky, you may get to see some of the thousands of experienced skydivers who visit us jump before you!

Ready... Set... GO!
As you leave the airplane behind and accelerate up to 120 mph (200 kph) in the vast blue Florida sky, you will realize why tandem sky diving is the most thrilling adventure experience in the world! Your freefall will last up to 60 seconds until your instructor opens the parachute 5000 feet above the earth, and the rush of air quiets to a gentle breeze.
Safely under a tandem parachute built for two, you can practice your landing a few times until you are comfortable, and then your instructor will assist you in piloting your canopy back to earth. You may have a gentle ride, or a roller-coaster ride of spins and turns, whichever you prefer!
After approximately a 5 minute parachute ride, once your feet are back on terra-firma, you will take with you not only a first-jump certificate as proof of your adventure, but a host of great memories and stories for your friends and family!
